[Looks up from a book she was flipping through. It had been a quiet day at the little shop so she wound up occupying her time with it before Hugo arrived.]
Oh, Hugo? [Smiling and putting the book down.] I'm never too busy for questions from the Flame Champion, dear.
Ah, thanks. Anyways… I know you said you don't really know a lot about True Runes, but, well…
The first Flame Champion lost control of this Rune once, I don't want that to happen. I was wondering if you knew there was a way to keep from loosing control. Or at least have a suggestion?
[Jeane did tell him that she would try whatever she could when it came to his rune, so it wasn't too surprising that Hugo was asking something like this...]
Yes. I heard about that as well.
[Crossing her arms in attempted thought.]
Child runes such as Fire and Rage can be unpredictable for their wielders even with years of training and familiarity. But those with stronger than ordinary will can come to control them. It is not easy still.
A few of the other True Rune bearers who are present would likely give you better advice and guidance than I could. Geddoe, Bishop Sasarai, and Sierra come to mind especially. They have had many years with their runes and know the burdens they carry well.
[Realizes there are a few others, but is not sure it is her place to reveal them. Since Hugo has a True Rune, he may eventually learn about them down the line.]
Hm, those with a natural affinity for rune magic can withstand the strain of so many runes on them such as your mother. Last time I checked though, you were incapable of bearing another, but things can change.
Tee hee. Oh, she'll just love to hear you say that. Believe me.
Remember that even training your physical body will help. It can take longer doing it that way, but not impossible. Of course, using your rune is the fastest method.
But it's true. She's like, fifteen forever. Oh, wait you meant… never mind.
It's not like I'm going to stop using my dagger and training with it. I want to be a better mage, but I don't think I'm willing to take up a staff or ring. No offense to those who do use those, but I don't know if I could.
For those of us who have to use such weapons, it's mainly due to our lack of physical prowess. [Embarrassed laugh. She was never one for combat of that sort so admitting it wasn't too hard.] That's something you're blessed with and should feel proud of it, honestly. [Although, she's positive he already very much is.]
They can be. With the right... tinkering. [Mystery smile.] Myself though? Not so much.
[Gets up to properly see him out. She would need to tend to some inventory as well anyway.] It's no problem at all, Hugo. Again, if you ever have anymore questions, don't hesitate to come ask me.

I was thinking that maybe focusing on magic training might help. I'm a decent magic user, but I'm not really a mage. What do you think?

Of course, there are others residents here presently that may prove more useful in what you are looking for.

I was also wondering about head runes. My mom can have one on her head, do you think if I study enough I could also have one there too?

I trust Bishop Sasarai, but… [Trails off, looking at his Rune] I'm not sure how much to trust him.
[Thinks about Jeane's words for a moment, then nods to himself] How do those changes happen?
no subject
[Knows of Sasarai's precision and concentration that prevents collateral damage with such runes as Fire, but respects Hugo's hesitation.]
Being able to bear a third rune can come from practice sometimes. The more one trains, the confidence and mental strength could develop to allow it.
no subject
Well, I have enough time on my hands to train.

If there's anything else you need answered?
no subject
Hmm. Not really. Thank you Jeane.
