It's not like I'm going to stop using my dagger and training with it. I want to be a better mage, but I don't think I'm willing to take up a staff or ring. No offense to those who do use those, but I don't know if I could.

For those of us who have to use such weapons, it's mainly due to our lack of physical prowess. [Embarrassed laugh.
