Mother,
I hope you’re doing well. I’ve only been at Budehuc for about a month and things are going mostly smoothly. A few hiccups here and there.
Lord Thomas is currently away, and has been for about nine months. I’m a little worried about him, to be honest. But as I haven’t seem Juan, Cecile, or Piccolo yet I’m assuming they’re with him, or at least hoping they’re with him, which make me worry less.
Caesar’s been taking care of Budehuc in his stead, and he’s doing a good job of it! Though, that might because of his new assistant Agnes. Also, he has a girlfriend now! Can you believe it? Agnes is his girlfriend and she seems like a good match for him. And no, I don’t have a girlfriend yet. I just got here!
I ran into some people from the Dunan Unification War. Klaus Windamier, and Sierra Mikain. Speaking of Dunan, President Wisemail has extended an invitation for you to visit her to improve relations between our Clan (and presumably the entirety of the Grasslands) and the Dunan Republic. Isn’t that great? With the current peace between the Grasslands, Zexen, and Harmonia I think this would be great. Maybe I should send a letter to Lilly seeing with we could open dialogue with Tinto as well? Though I hear Zexen and Tinto are having issues at the moment. All the more reason for us to get on their good side.
Bishop Sasarai is here. I know we all had a little bit of panic attack when heard a Bishop was taking residence at Budehuc, but since it’s him I’m put at ease. I may not fully trust him, after all the Harmonians did invade shortly after the armistice ended (like the very next day, it seems), but he is one of the more trust worthy ones I feel, having fought alongside him on the battlefield.
Chris and some of her knights; Borus, Percival, and her squire Louis, are here as well. Apparently for the seem reason you sent me. Which reminds me, what exactly does out new peace agreement entail? Or were we so shaken up after what Luc did that we forgot to put the agreement on paper? Perhaps while Chris, Sasarai, and I are here we could discuss it if it hasn’t been completed yet.
Also, I’ve been having... strange sensations lately. I’ve told you about the quiet moments, the moments where if I just stand still long enough I can feel the world passing by and leaving me behind. I talked to Geddoe about it, and he says thats normal, but they’ve been getting worse lately. Well, worse isn’t the right word. More like, happening more often.
And I had my first vision. It was shortly after Chris got here. I think it was more of a memory than a vision. About the first Flame Champion. It wasn’t pretty. I’m pretty sure it was the moment he lost control of the Rune, but I’m not sure, it was like looking at someone through natural glass. Distorted in some places, warped in others, and only a handful of clear views.
Anyways, I have a letter to write to Aila.
